Describe the project? Our game is call Virus a hidden objects puzzle game. The player must collect
five chemical vials in order, to create a cure to stop the virus from spreading. The player have five
minutes to locate five chemical vials.
If the player do not collect all five chemical vials within five minutes the game will end. The player failed the missions the game over/lose screen will pop up.
My role programmer I had to write the code for the game to work. I export all the objects into the level. I put bounds box, the collision box on all objects in the game. I made the codes for the win and the game over screen.
what went right? the player can pick up all five objects. the objects are deleted when found. The names of the objects chemical vials, beaker, lighter, temperature gauge and pills are deleted from
the list. The win screen and the lose/game over screen work.
What went wrong? the count down clock I have not figure out the correct program code for the
game to end in five minute. I went online to Garage games the make of Torque for answers.
they said to put the code in the client.cs files. I ask my instructor Ms. Amanda Lange for answer
She said the code goes into the server.cs file. I put the code in both files. This did not solve the
problem the game will end in five minutes. I am disappointed the count down clock does not end
the game in five minute.
What would I do differently? not make fifty game.cs files. I would make one file and name it game objects.cs and place all fifty objects into it. This will save time and coding time.

Week 9
what stages of the project am I on and how is it progressing? I am on the final stage of the project. I have coded all items needed for the game, I have exported them into the level.
How or what could I improve? I could have created an Items.cs file that list all the object to make the game. I did not do it and it took weeks to make each object cs file.
How did I deal with the problems that came up? I changed the name on one of the object from camera to picture taking and it did not work in Torque, so I could not use the object.
What is working? the count down clock, the player can pick up the five hidden objects.
What is not working? I have to figure out how to remove the object name on the list, when the player finds an object. I am going to work on it during the week.
I enjoy my time on this project it is a new project, I might be the first student making a hidden object game in torque at this school.

week 8
What stage of the project am I on and how is it progressing? I just finish coding I add the 5 object names the player must find in the hidden object game. I was added the object list, list show the five hidden object the player must find. I got some help on how load object list.
Did I change my project milestone goals? no.
What is working? I have not test and objects yet, I am waiting for Jamal to complete all the object for the game. He is doing a great job it only us, two people on this team.

Week 7
I created the object list, this list tell the player what object he or she must find in the level.
I coded the Gui clock HUD timer, the player has a certain time to fine the six object.
I will start the coding for the six object this week.
No changes were made to my project and milestone goals.
I had a problem with the GUI object list it is in the correct file folder, I could not get it to appear in the level. I gave it different names to see if that help and it did not.

week 6 final project design
My role in the final game project design is to program the game.
What stage of the project am I on and how is it progressing? I am on the beginning stage writing the code.How or what could I improve? at this time I am just starting the project.
Did I change my project? No. Milestone goal? No.
What is working? Nothing I am just starting to work on the project.
What is not working in the planning and implementation of the project? The code had not been create for testing, to see what is not working.

Week 5 Post Mortem
1. Describe the project? The game is called Survive a Stealth action game.
The story is about a man from Canada that travels to a jungle located in South America.
The character is named Robert; he travels to South America because he is on a secret mission
mission from the government. Robert has to recover stolen gold located inside the warehouse.
the gold is guarded by armed robots.
2. Describe your role? My role is to program the game. making the enemies work, the assets
such as the key and healthpacks spin and pick up by the player character.
My job was to program the door to open leading to the stolen gold, the win screen.
3. What went right? the enemies work the assets key and healthpacks work. The player
character moves around in the level and pick up the key and healthpacks when needed.
4. What went wrong? Some coding issues Torque got confuse with what I was naming.
The level was suppose to have guards and path find enemies that patrol in different areas.
Both files use the name aidroppoints I name one guard the other path.
The guard and enemy path did not work I just used guards. I had an issue with coding in
the player.cs file, Torque got confuse with my enemy name I had to use badguy for the
enemies to work in the level. I had coding issue with the door and win screen because
they useed the name trigger, the door would not do what I wanted and the win screen did
not work. So I did not use the door and win screen in the game.

I will begin the coding program for the game. The game will have guards that can shoot the player. Jamal and I talk about the enemy and player character. We agree to use robots as the enemy guards and an astronaut as the player. I will code guards patrolling near the key use to unlock the door leading to the stolen gold.

Game production 3 week three.
Finish the gold asset and the boxes for the factory selves. Working on the key used to open the door leading to the stack of gold. The problem I had was with the spacing, I forgot Torque does not read files with spaces, I fix it with no spaces in the file name. There are no changes in the project.
The last asset is the open door I'll work on it and have it read by next week. When the level is complete I will work on the game mechanic for the game. I have no problems with the computer and with my team member. We work well together.
