This is my last and final day in school.

This is the long moment I have been waiting for.
My project is complete it is time to show my
project and skills in class today.

Capstone class week 10

On the last day of Class my sound Portfolio corrupt.
Why did it wait to do this on the last day. My mentor
Adam could not see my work I did not bring the backup from Home.
I should had saved it to my school computer drive.
I got a grade 2 instead of getting a grade 1 which is like an A.
Adam like my sounds I wish He could have seen my sound portfolio.
Adam gave me a passing grade.

The last and final thing I added to my blackjack is sounds for the coins.
When the player click on the amount of their choice to bet. the coins will make
a jingle sound. The game is complete finish.

I finish adding money that the player can place bets in my Blackjack card game.
It is working the bet amounts the player can place are $5.00 coins. $10.00 coins,
$50.00 and $100.00 coins.

Capstone class Week 9

My final project for the class was completed on December 6, 2010.
Adam and I will get together to view it and view my new sound files.
He said the final grade will be base on my final project. I will meet
with on Wednesday December 8,2010.

This is what I want my Blackjack card game to do?
The player will be able to place a bet of either $5, $10, $50, and $100 dollars.
The bet will be taking from the player's $1,000.00.

When the bet amount is place the player will press the deal button.
If the player bet $100 his money balance will be $900.00
If the player wins the bet will double to $200. The money will grow to

$1,100.00 if the player get blackjack the bet will triple to $300. The money
will grow $1,200.00

If the player tie or lose nothing happen.
If the player goes over 21 the bet amount will be taking from the player's money.
$800.00

I will make on last change to my Blackjack card game.
I got two weeks to clean up the bugs and make it work.
My teacher James saw a Blackjack game I played online that has what I
want my game to do. My game will do a different function from the online
Blackjack game. James approve of my verson of Blackjack.

Capstone class week 8

My assignment that was due on November 1, 2010.
Was to create a mix of different sound playing that I would hear at a concert.
I pick the music instrument and build around it set each instrument in a certain spot.
Like a live show example a concert will have the drummer on the right the electric
guitar player on the left etc.

My instrument was the base guitar I set it on the right as the solo and build around it.

My mentor Adam and I talk on what my final project will be.
I told Adam my final project will be a story using sound that I create.
The sounds will tell the story about what is going on.

I got some great fed back from the tester.
I am looking into adding a point score, points the player can gamble.
I need to do some research to get ideals on how this will work.
Not sure on what kind of point system to make.
The research will help.

I added a black card design to the back of the dealer cards.
This make it look like a deck of cards in the game.
Instead of showing a black blank space in the dealer's card.
Slowing making changes to my blackjack game.

I added a score to the cards of the player and dealer, what this does is show the player's card score Example Six of Club, Five of Spade, Four of Spade and Five of Hearts total 20. The number 20 will appear under the player's cards. The dealer cards and score will appear when the player press either the hitme! or stay button.

If either the player or dealer score over 21 it is a bust and a lost.

I am testing my Blackjack game. I have written eleven questions for the testers to
answer. The feed back from the testers will be great information. My question are
does the buttons function well? yes No. Does the sound play well? yes no.
Does the table color look good? yes no. Do the text colors look good? yes no.
Is the game too easy to play? yes no.
Should the game be changed? yes no.

CapStone class week 6

I order my own Zoom sound recorder I will have by November 24,2010.
What I am doing in my Audio sound class is Learn about. The different Microphones such
as the Dynamic,Ribbon and Condenser microphone. The Dynamic is a rugged and lest
sensitive. The Ribbon microphone is the most sensitive and the most fragile.
The Condenser is phantom power.
My second project i am doing is to record using two microphone. Write a word document on the specs of the two microphone and the difference of sound the two mic did.

This is week four what I am doing is creating a survey with questions.
For testing I want to test twelve people and get some feed back for them
to make my game better.

I am working on building a power point for the class. I am writing a rough draft.
Search for more picture images to used in my power point. I have the main images that
match my Blackjack game I need three more that comes close. In my power point I am going
to talk about the first ideal for the game which was in C++ code and talk about the game created in flash action script cs3.

I love the audio sound class I am taking this term.
My mentor Adam likes my sound project. He told me I doing good in the class.
My sound goals evaluation I got a 2, 3, 4, 5, 5. I did not reach some sound goals.
I will do better on my next goals still learning. I learn the different types of
microphones with frequency response used for recording.

The next thing that I did in creating my blackjack game. Import the sounds in flash.
Set up class names for each sound and create variables sounds names. create codes for the sound to play.

The sound files I am using are card draw, card hit the table. You win, you lose. You got a blackjack. Dealer got a blackjack. These sound files give my game sound.

The next thing that I did in creating my Blackjack game. I found free sounds to use.
The web site is www.freesound.com I had to set up an email account to used their sound
for free. I used sound from this web site in my senior project 2 class in July. It is always a good ideal to site the address were the sound came from. Even if it is free.
This will protect you from any law suits in the future.

I past my goal of creating five sound files, I created 15.
The sounds are my first creation my mentor Adam said I sound create a project to show
in class. I agree and said my project will be ready on November 3, 2010.
Adam knows sound I am glad to study and learn from him. Sound was always something I wanted to do sense I was a kid. I was watching the three stooges when I was 10 years old. I said how did they make the hammer make that sound. Now I understand it was the sound artist that made all the sounds.

I have to learn test a few lines of code checking for errors, and correcting them. Then completing a project and having lots of errors. This better then checking line by line to find errors. I learn this from studying other game programmers, and tutorials.

Check a few lines in my code save time in the past I use to check line by line not any more.

The next step in creating my blackjack game. Is to make all the cards into movie clip.
I use the name mcCard.The cards will appear on the stage showing card type and card value. I talk early about the cards as Jack, Queen, King. The suite are Spade, Diamond,
Heart and Club.

The values of the cards I created as movie clip. I used the name mcValues. J, K, Q, K.
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 ,9, 10. The Card Ace can be a value of 1 or 11.

My five goals.
Goal one create five water sounds.
Goal two create ten new sounds.
Goal three create fifteen new sounds.
Goal four create twenty new sounds.
Goal five create twenty five new sounds.

When the player play my Blackjack game. I want he/she to feel like they are online.
The table is in a Birdseye view. They will see the top of the table. It is lime green
color. Most Blackjack games online are money green color. I did not want that, I wanted
my game to be different. The cards of the player and dealer will be large. This will make it easy to see and read what both players hands is.

Milestone two
creating my blackjack game, the next step is to create the Fla files. The Flash
action script files. I am going to used cs3, because I have it at home. The Fla files
will include code to operate the game. It will have three buttons and a text message
screen that will appear during game play.

Creating my blackjack game,the first thing I need to do is set up a public class.
I call Card deck this class will list all cards in my game. By card name Ace,Jack,Queen
and King. Spade,Diamond,Heart and Club. Card value Two,Three,Four,Five,Six,Seven,Eight,

Nine and Ten.Game type Black Jack. Card drawn and shuffle.

Today October 12, 2010 I came up with a concept ideal for a card game. Black Jack it is not a new game. Black Jack is out on the market in different form. I will create my game in C++ code.

mechanic revision March 18, 2010

I did not have help on the mechanic revision for our game.
I suggest having dogs patroling near the trees. The dogs will attack and kill the squirrels if they can catch them. How this will work if their is a tie the dogs will attack. The basic mechanic will remain the same the difference is dogs are added.
